About Me…
Hey Everyone, I am Jeremy, the creator of Bareback Jacks Jewelry. I was born and raised in the small town of Richmond, Minnesota. When I was younger, I enjoyed art and drawing, but as I grew up, it got replaced with my love of sports, and I became an athlete in high school.
Following graduation, I began my adult life as a traveling welder. After a few years of traveling around the mid-western region for work, I realized that I was missing the athletic part of my life. I began riding bucking horses in the dreams of just having fun with a new weekend hobby but soon realized that I loved riding bucking horses more than anything else.
As I started to pursue Rodeo, I began traveling to new places I never imagined I would get the opportunity to visit. Even with all my travels with work, the farthest I ever traveled from Central Minnesota was a fourteen-hour fishing trip into Canada when I was a boy. The more I Rodeoed the farther I found myself traveling and seeing new places. Eventually, Rodeo brought me to Colorado, where I got to see the mountains for the first time, then Florida, where I sat on a beach and watched the waves crash into the sand, and Texas, where I got offered a scholarship to rodeo at Mesalands Community College in New Mexico.
At Mesalands, I chose to study the Western cowboy arts due to that old love for art when I was a kid. I quickly learned the trade of making jewelry and engraving fine art. The very moment I left the college, I decided that I would buy all the tools and equipment to continue my newest passion. This is where Bareback Jacks Jewelry began.
Fast forward two years later and Bareback Jacks Jewelry is my full-time job paired with being a professional bareback rider. During the summer I spend my time Rodeoing all across the country, and when I come home I get to pursue my second passion, which is making spectacular pieces of art. My goal as a silversmith is to create art with passion and dedication that my customers will cherish as long as they own the piece.
